Doubt, comparisons, and career frustrations must go away when you write. Learn to control your thoughts and focus on the task at hand.
2. Stop reading about writing
It is useful for writers to spend time reading. Whether it's a motivational blog post, a creative work from a respected author or a technical resource on the finer points of writing, there is a value to extract from the reading. But if you read about writing instead of writing, it's a distraction. It's something that the author of the content, Andy Mort, discovered personally a few years ago.

Then, in the shadow of this isolation, you write. You will find that your output is skyrocketing and you really do not miss much.
4. Write the first thing in the morning
We will not discuss the question of whether it's better to be an early bird or a night owl – there are a lot of talented writers among the two groups – but there are some something to say to get up early and write early in the morning.
Early in the morning, there are no distractions. The rest of the world is asleep and you do not have to put out fires, solve problems or satisfy anyone's needs. It's just you and your keyboard.
5. Try the Pomodoro Method
"Many writing coaches recommend using a timer for your daily writing practice", academic writing consultant. Dr. Sally Jensen explains . "The Pomodoro technique uses a kitchen timer for 25 minutes and helps writers develop their discipline to focus on an activity, without interruption, until the timer rings."
With the Pomodoro method, you write for 25 minutes, take a break of three to five minutes, then write for another 25 minutes. You repeat this process until the task is complete. Do not hesitate to adjust the method to your attention. You may be able to last longer between breaks.
6. Manage Your To Do List
Do you find yourself distracted by all the other things happening in your life? Well, these other responsibilities and tasks will not go away on their own. The best way to prevent life from getting in the way is to take the time to manage your to-do list outside of work hours. By deleting tasks from your list, you will have less to distract yourself.
You have a lot more self-control, will and concentration than you realize. It's time to stop focusing on the distractions of your life and give priority to writing. By implementing simple but tangible techniques like these, you can stop wasting time and start making the most of all the opportunities that come your way. Good luck!
